Why Wellness Workx… for Non-Profits
As a family living in Oak Park, we have often been involved in local charities. When our son Jack was very young, I would sometimes take him with me to the Oak Park Food Pantry where we would volunteer on Saturday mornings to pack groceries into bags for local community members who needed extra assistance at that time.
Early on during the Covid crisis we organized a family marathon event in our back yard and raised over $20,000 for two Oak Park non-profits: Housing Forward and Beyond Hunger.
We have always been supporters of animal welfare. Kirsten and Sophie have been fostering cats from the Animal Care League for a number of years and there is usually a mom and her litter making a home out of our spare bedroom!…. and even longer ago I published a magazine supporting non-profits who were finding homes for Ex-Racing Greyhounds.
For the last few years our rock band The Half Brits has performed at the annual Fundraiser for Seven Generations Ahead at their “Oak Park Microbrew Review” raising money to assist in their mission “To build environmentally sustainable and healthy communities, and tackle the climate crisis with solutions that are bold, equitable and just”
We also financially support other local non profits such as Build and New Moms.

One thing in common, of course, is that these non-profits are all very much focused on raising money to finance their own organizations and the specific programs and causes they support.
At Wellness Workx we can offer a compelling and quite unique fundraising opportunity to non-profit organizations, which involves the distribution of premium products reflecting our own commitment to the wellness of people, communities and our planet.
